MUFG is financing Environmental Racism in the US Gulf Coast
Frontline and Indigenous community leaders and activists from the Rio Grande Valley met with MUFG in Tokyo, Japan to demand they divest from the planned methane export terminal, Rio Grande LNG.
MUFG is the financial advisor and one of the primary financiers of Rio Grande LNG. This project will (and has already) destroy sacred Indigenous sites, is planned within 6 miles of a SpaceX facility that’s already had multiple explosions, will add even more pollution to the US Gulf Coast which is already deeply impacted by fossil fuels and petrochemical development, and lock us into decades more reliance on fossil fuels, worsening the climate crisis. Methane gas (aka LNG) is not safe or wanted. Rio ...

En France, il est facile de passer de la BNP ou SOCGEN à une banque éthique. Ça se fait sans problème.
I respect you lady
I am sick of this government and corruption in corporations that are part of this destruction of lives and America.
We must join forces to win in our fight for peace and environmental balance! We must unite!
We must unite to end wars and corporate corruption! Unite, unite, unite! Only together we can win this fight!
So what proportion of the ecosystem is expected to be identified as high conservation value / carbon stock?

Excellent!
This guy is SCAR KING from godzilla x kong the new empire (I came here from goji center)
great video quality for 2009.
BS, first red flag was the Socialist actress reading the script, yep that's what they do they read scripts. Mountains are not being leveled as depicted. If you want to help the environment are you willing to turn off your AC, un plug your Refrigerator, and line dry your linen? If not you are full of BS.
It is time for all neighbors to take up arms . Coordinate your efforts as the collective and challenge these wothless bastards ! Make a showing . Go to the cemetaries. If you do nothing now , you will be powerless to bring change later. Your self respect is standing tall in your god given rights and what your inner self knows to be just and correct . To allow tyranny is to bow down to the corporate elite . You must be willing to make sacrifice if necessary. It is easier said than done . I realize this. But i would rather die with my self respect and dignity than to empower the better than us mentality shared by big money. Ive been dead twice now and i will tell you that your self respect becomes a high priority at the last minute of this life. It is all you have to take with you . If you have a problem with their demands now , you will experience it 10 fold when transitioning. That would be to their satisfaction. Please people, dont give them that. Do not allow them the power to dictate your life . In all reality , they are insignificant if you choose them to be so . Take back your power of authority over the beast . The alternative is a life of oppression and forced rulle that those enforcing their la do not consider themselves bound to . The creator is within you just a we are within him . Everything throughout the cosmos is linked. When we come to accept understand and believe this truth , they become powerless and weak , having no power over you. We are gods. Recognize this as fact. I wish i were there to fight with you Bless all you good people
They trying to destroy & cover up all our history.. they been disrespecting graves for centuries
Seems like it is obvious that the true story this woman is telling goes to show how the corpora😮tions of this world do not give a fck about people only their agendas and profit.... Our true enemy
These corporations that have weaseled their way into the coal industry the last 30-35 years, but especially in the 2000’s are as corrupt & evil as anyone you will find. Not one of the companies ran by these out of stater’s who have never physically mined one lump of coal in their lives, none of them make a profit each year, & none of them so much as break even. They pay themselves overwhelmingly huge salaries & bonuses from borrowed money, all while they post massive losses $$ every quarter until they file bankruptcy & some other well connected, Wall Street backed corporation buys the bankrupt company only to do the exact same thing the previous one did. The only thing these corporations are accomplishing is leaving thousands of acres of unreclaimed mountain land & polluted, choked out streams & millions of $’s in unpaid wages, benefits & taxes to anyone who worked a blue collar position with them. It makes me absolutely ashamed, I was an independent coal operator for many years & myself nor any other independent operator I knew of would do the things these out of state corporations are doing to the land & the people.
With all the feral people in the Appalachians, they might be trying to eat them
that because China ownes all the coal there and in Wyoming!!
My girl Gidget used to tell me how beautiful The Appalachians are. She was a God sent angel to me at that time in my life. Cancer took her not long after. May she RIP.
This is terrible
Any coward who carries on in conflict of interest smear campaign reactions to complaints about their behavior patterns of human rights violations doesn't deserve any paid employment or any kind of profit for themselves.
thank you
I see incest
Rotten coal companies screwed mountain people for over 100 years! Backed up by the crooks in DC!
History repeats itself
Coal Companies still think they are GOD???
A road to a cemeatery is a public road
BLESS THEM LORD JESUS
Wow, so sorry. Girl.
🙏
This a travesty.
No one should be barred from a cemetery, especially if it is where their loved ones and ancestors are buried. I live in PA and many farms and private properties have cemeteries on them and as of yet, no one has ever stopped me from visiting them. My ancestors settled this land so they are everywhere. Anyone mining should be made to consider places of cultural significance and should not be allowed to prevent people from reaching them!

You're lucky. Hopefully y'all won't be overrun by the calis, NYC and ILL/IND crowds like we have been here in East Tennessee. They're liberal and woke until it comes to property they bought. Then the tune is "MINE" everybody keep out. The last 3-4 years, we've been overrun. People here have sold farms, houses for astronomical amounts. I'm talking 7 years ago you could buy 50 acres for $200k or less. Now it's $7-800k. A regular 3BR house is $300k now. People that were born here and work here can't afford to buy now and rentals are scarce and pricey. Added to all that, our infrastructure is struggling, property taxes up 50% AND we now have a homeless problem 😡 Many states have laws on the books that property owners can't bar relatives from visiting/maintaining family cemeteries. The caveat is you have to take them to court if they refuse, prove familial relationship and you can only visit on days judge says.
This may be more common than not through out Appalachia. Our family cemetery that we have held for over 100 years was forced to be sold to the church that sprouted up next to it. No other reasons then church jealousy and some senior family members greed. One less family connected to the land.
It is because of insurance. They should just have a waiver to sign.
There was a place in the NC mountains, close to Cherokee that was a family run motel. My family and the owners were very close as we went to stay there for two weeks every summer. It was a beautiful area. One year the owners granddaughter took me into the hills behind their property to show me her favorite place. I fell in love with the spot right away. It was like a little fairyland. There was a crystal clear stream that formed from a spring. The area was dappled shade, cool breezes, moss covered rocks, singing birds, with butterflies and buzzing honeybees investigating the wild mountain flowers that were all over. It was a truly stunning place. The next year my family arrived and I couldnt wait to return there. I was so eager that I took off the first chance I had. What I saw when I got there bruised my soul. I was stunned.. The whole top of the mountain had been logged and strip mined. Every living thing, from the trees, to the plants and flowers was gone, even the moss covered stones in the stream had been ripped up. They left nothing. Where the spring had been, there was nothing left but a trickle of polluted water forming into a big mud hole. All that was left were rocks, red clay, mud and rusted, discarded 55 gallon steel drums leaking God knows what into the ground. The entire ecosystem had been utterly destroyed. Even the topsoil had eroded with the loss of the forest that kept it in place, ensuring that it would be many years, if ever, that anything would grow there again. That was the first time in my life I ever had to deal with anything like that. I believe I was just 10 or 11 years old at the time. I am now 73 and even after over 60 years, whenever I think back to that day, it hurts and I still feel the loss from the destruction of that beautiful spot. To be lucky enough to find a truly amazing, magical place like that and then discover that it had been completely ripped from the earth and would never, in my lifetime, ever be the same again still makes me angry and very sad. All, in the name of progress...and profit.
I understand, Blessings ❤
It's all in the name of destroying american cultures around the US so we don't have attachments to our history or know what it is. Then we will be without an anchor to our families and communties. THen we won't fight for each other or ourselves because it means nothting to us so there is not reason to fight.
I feel your anguish. I can relate
These coal mountains are fu of nothing but pedophilia, poverty, violence and disgraceful men. As a descendent of the coal mines and very well versed in the truth of the history, it’s not a history to be preserved other than the truth.
Why she is saying is not unusual and not unheard of. Especially with these smaller and poorer congregations, they are hard up for money and will either sell the access to their cemetaries or sometimes sell the cemetaries themselves to these gravel or mining companies. Especially after their churches or meeting house are lost in a catastrohic fire or twister or what have you.
Yep...I'm calling BS on that. Sorry, I'd be visiting anytime I want.
Destroying History that doesn't suit the Narrative
Im confused. Im hearing all this stuff about coal this, coal that. Seems like everyone in Appalachia is for the coal companys. Now Im hearing people(like this beautiful woman) downing coal companys and dont want that industry around. Mercury from burning coal poisons water and I hate that but Im not getting into the politics. Im just wandering why coal is good one minute and its not, the next. Just curious.
The coal companies are in the wrong.
pennsylvania, ny,wv,,va,,and so it goes,on and on,they want to destroy the water, and kill the food sources, agendas of rome,no doubt that wicked one in the vatican
I sympathize with this lady and the people she represents but this is exactly how the Native Americans were treated a couple of centuries ago! Forced from their homeland and leaving their dead behind!
Cemetery’s are usually owned by the county,I’d check into that and tell Mines to kick rocks ,miner safety training for a gravesite is just beyond belief
Part of me says it's staged.
I think it was too.
why would Long Lake arrest him for sitting on a wall on a public sidewalk? Seems strange or staged? I protested at Cargill's headquarters back in 1999 - and even recommended that protest in solidarity with the WTO shutdown in Seattle.
